2022 Vivia, Fattoria Le Mortelle

This mid-golden unoaked white comes from the Tuscan coast, and is a careful blend of three grapes:  Vermentino bringing with lively bright crisp peach & pear, Ansonica deeper colour & spiced, savoury character, texture with crisp acidity, Viognier golden fruit depth.  Refreshing & moreish.  40% Vermentino, 30% Viognier and 30% Ansonica.

"Here's a good value proposition from southern Tuscany. The Le Mortelle 2021 Maremma Toscana Vivia is an easy blend of Vermentino, Viognier and Ansonica. These three grapes are the crown of Maremma white wine, but here they are presented as a decidedly informal expression.
