2011 Bereche & Fils, Campania Remensis Extra Brut Rose
Campania Remensis is the first name given by the Romans to the terroirs located around Reims. This rosé is composed of 65% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 5% Coteaux Champenois Ormes Rouge from the same 3 hectare plot. Easy to work, sandy and light soils that are perfectly suited to the production of fine and vibrant Pinot.
"Once again, I was deeply impressed with the wines I tasted at Bérèche. These Champagnes are endowed with breathtaking purity and finesse. Bérèche is one of the few growers to age all of his wines (except the NV Brut and NV Brut Nature) on the cork, instead of the much more standard crown capsule." Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com, May 2013
