2010 Les Jardins de Babylone Sec, Didier Dagueneau

This comes from a diminutive 7.4-hectare vineyard at the foot of the Pyrénées in Jurançon.  The vineyard forms a natural amphitheatre that reminded Didier Dagueneau of the mythical hanging gardens of Babylon, hence the name.  This secretive cuvee shows wonderful minerality with great balance and harmony.
