2002 Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos, Disznoko (50cl)
"Tasted at the Disznóko vertical in London, the 2002 Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos is a blend of 78% Furmint and 22% Zéta, with 150 grams per liter of residual sugar. The bouquet is purer and better defined than the 2003: Seville orange marmalade, beeswax and quince, all vivid and bright. The palate is texturally very satisfying, lavishing the mouth with viscous dried honey, ginger, quince and marmalade notes, all very cohesive and long. This is a sophisticated 5 Puttonyos that is drinking beautifully now. Drink 2016-2040." Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate, October 2016
"Already 20 years since its advent, the 2002 vintage showcases a complex bouquet of candied citrus peel, marmalade, dried apricot and a touch of roasted nuts. Sweet-spiced orange zest, ginger, dried yellow fruits and mixed nuts on the palate, the 150g/l of sugar is elevated by brilliant acidity backbone - as high as 10.6g/l - a reflection to an early harvest. Incredibly long with more umami nutty notes on the finish. Drink 2022-2032." Decanter, November 2022
