2005 Chateau La Tour Carnet, Haut Medoc 4th Growth

"This La Tour Carnet has a very pure, showy blackberry, black cherry and cassis scented nose with good definition with touches of coconut and layers of vanillary new oak. Fine lift. Very modern style Bordeaux but undeniably cleanly made with no hard edges and sensuous mouth-feel; a luxuriant finish. It slips down the throat too easily: this is a Medoc that is ‘dressed to kill’.
