2007 Riesling Scharz Auslese, Sybille Kuntz

The 2007 Riesling Scharz Auslese from Sybille Kuntz is an excellent off-dry white wine from the Mosel region of Germany.  With around 25 grams per liter of residual sugar and around 25% Botrytis-affected fruit, it achieves a harmonious balance between sweetness and acidity.  While it can be enjoyed on its own, it pairs very well with a good cheeseboard.
