2021 Rioja Blanco Finca Alto Cantabria, Conde Valdemar

Straw yellow with greenish hues, clean and bright. Intense aromas of almond blossom and peach, with delicate hazelnut. In the mouth it is complex, full-bodied, with a savoury and saline character characteristic of the limestone soil of Alto Cantabria. Long and very elegant aftertaste.

"Ludicrously under-priced given its quality, this is one of the best white wines in Rioja and ages brilliantly too, Viura from an 8.5-hectare parcel of limestone at 480 metres supplies the raw material here, fermented in new French oak.
